We attend Thursday night trivia at Hard Road Brewing in Eastern Melbourne. There’s a regular question on these nights asking “On which Melbourne Metro Train Line would you find…?”. We are bad at this question.
Partly, we’re bad at it because we’re relatively new transplants to Melbourne, having arrived right at the start of COVID, and we never really got to grips with the rail network or even the general geography of the place.
So for the last few months I’ve been threatening to make that question into a little game so we can practice.
Well, I finally overcame the procrastination and did it.
There’s actually two versions I wrote - first of all I did a command-line version in Powershell, just to check that it works. Then I converted that into a web-based version running on Jekyll static web pages with Alpine.js.
If you’re a coder and want to play around with it, it’s over here on Github.
